a tribute

The youth soccer association (AYSO) that Gag (coach Jerry) was involved with for years have posted a tribute on their website. (made me cry). The date of his passing is wrong but it's the thought that counts right? So here it is....

love... peace... joy...

  1. What a lovely, loving tribute. It is nice to know that this organization not only valued your husband and his contributions, but they also understood so completely who he was and what he believed. So many people hide their true selves from the world. But not Gag. He was who he was...wherever he was. What a blessing he was in life. And what a legacy he lives for others to follow his example.

  2. Well, that should have read "what a legacy he leaves for others to follow his example." But I don't believe it was an accident that I referred to his living because I believe he lives on in the hearts of so many people. That's what a legacy is all about.

  3. Fitting tribute, Mari, from what Ive read. Gag made a difference in their lives, and hence made the world just a little bit better. You must be so proud.

  4. you know Sue... it's funny that you made that "typo" cuz... I still refer to him in the present tense when I speak of him... because I still feel him with us... past tense just sounds so distant.
    thanks ladies
